A vibrant community of diverse neighborhoods. Home to top colleges and universities, a picturesque inner harbor, a growing tech sector fueled by promising startups, renowned cultural offerings and passionate sports fans.
Yet prosperity is not equally shared. Historic and current inequities have led to high rates of poverty along with housing, health and incarceration disparities disproportionately impacting Black residents.
GreenLight Baltimore’s community-driven process will search the country for proven programs best suited to tackle locally-identified unmet needs to help address deep-rooted disparities and create opportunities for children and families to thrive.
