Charlie’s life took a transformative turn after joining Becoming a Man (BAM) Jun 28, 2023 Kansas City BAM helped Charlie develop emotional awareness, coping skills, and a closer relationship with his parents. There was a lot of tension in his family, he felt disconnected from his parents, and he was experiencing depressive symptoms for which he spent a week in a mental health facility. Since being in BAM, Charlie has become more open and self-aware of his emotions and has developed increased coping skills to deal with hard feelings. Charlie says he now has a closer relationship with his parents and feels like he can talk with them about his experiences. He also feels empowered to manage his depression symptoms.
