Ashley Gibbons

Ashley Gibbons joined GreenLight Charlotte as the Program Associate in February 2023. Ashley comes to GreenLight with seven years of experience working in both nonprofit and higher education sectors. She brings passion and expertise in marketing, communications, fundraising, strategy and data management.

Ashley’s career started as the Marketing and Special Programs Coordinator for the Wellness Department at Gannon University where she led brand campaigns and programs that promoted and educated students and employees to engage in life-long wellness habits. In this role, Ashley also served as a professional ambassador in the Center for Social Concerns where she engaged students with local and global communities through service, exploration and action for the common good. It was this experience that ignited her passion for addressing the need for systematic change in the community.

Ashley went on to serve as the Donor Stewardship and Communications Manager at United Way of Central Carolinas where she created and managed processes that stewarded donors to help them feel connected to the mission and work of United Way through strategic communication tactics and fundraising efforts.

Ashley earned her B.S in Advertising Communications and her M.A. in Health Communications from Gannon University.
