About

Leveraging technology to bridge patients and healthcare providers.

Boston is home to world-renowned hospitals and healthcare providers. And yet there are persistent healthcare concerns in our community and gaps between those who need healthcare services and those who are accessing them.

CareMessage revolutionizes patient communication through personalized, interactive text messages with educational information tailored to each person’s current health needs. The CareMessage platform allows community-based healthcare providers to guide patients through the complex process of managing chronic health conditions like diabetes and hypertension.

Driven by technology, innovation, and the prioritization of patient needs, personalized communication has truly had an impact on patients. For example, 94% of diabetic and hypertensive patients reported that CareMessage helped them better manage their health, and healthcare providers have reported significant reductions in no-show rates, ranging from 27% to 41% relative to baseline.

Today, as the largest patient activation engine for underserved populations in the US, CareMessage empowers patients to take control of their own health, promotes healthier communities, decreases preventable costs and premature mortality, and improves the efficacy of healthcare services.
