Tom Ebling Executive-in-Residence General Catalyst Tom Ebling is co-chair of GreenLight’s American New Cities Fund and his wife Gayane serves on GreenLight Boston’s Selection Advisory Council. He is an Executive-in-Residence (XIR) at General Catalyst and was the former Chairman and CEO of Demandware, a provider of cloud commerce solutions. He led Demandware’s highly successful IPO in 2012 and its acquisition by Salesforce in 2016. Prior to Demandware, Tom held CEO positions at Lattice Engines, ProfitLogic and Torrent Systems. He also holds a patent for inventions in software related to process manufacturing at Marcam Corporation where he was Executive Vice President and helped grow the company from a startup to a $200 million in revenues and a successful IPO. Tom serves on a number of software company Boards such as Nift Networks, Nuance Communications, Flow Commerce, Blueday, Moltin, Tracelink, Custora, and Mirakl. He has also served on the Board of iDE, International Development Enterprises, an organization that focuses on creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Williams College with a BA in Mathematics and he attended Harvard Law School.
