Sheeren Bellinghausen

Manager of Development Support Services

National

Sheeren joined GreenLight Fund in 2024, bringing fifteen years of a progressive, diverse career in project management and fundraising operations to the Manager of Development Support Services role. Most recently, Sheeren served as the Senior Director of Site Stakeholder Engagement at City Year.  During her time at City Year she led the organization’s stewardship program for top philanthropic leaders, the Red Jacket Society, aided in efforts to scale the organization’s first ever national annual fund, and built the framework for the site support coach role.
Prior to her tenure at City Year, Sheeren worked at New Profit, a national venture philanthropy fund that invests in breakthrough social entrepreneurs. There she spearheaded changes to their fundraising model, ultimately evolving their engagement strategy to focus on donor value proposition and streamlining the organizational development support. Sheeren began her career working as the Program Coordinator of Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, then had the opportunity to expand on her fundraising skills at the Harvard University Development Office.
Born and raised in southeastern Louisiana, Sheeren received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 2008 before moving to Boston to serve as an AmeriCorps Member at City Year. This life-changing year on the Young Heroes Team influenced Sheeren‘s decision to spend her career in service to others in the non-profit sector, as well continuing to serve in volunteer capacities for local organizations such as Project 351, Interfaith Social Services, and the Norwell Town Cultural Council.
Sheeren lives with her husband and son on the south shore of Massachusetts, where they spend a majority of their time at one of the many local hockey rinks.
