Shareea Woods Founding Executive Director, Dallas National Shareea Woods is the Founding Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Dallas and a strategic leader with deep expertise in building networks, driving systems change, and advancing equity in education. She brings more than 15 years of experience designing and leading high-impact initiatives focused on expanding opportunity for underserved communities. Most recently, Shareea served as Director of the Texas College Access Network (TxCAN), where she partnered with state agencies, philanthropic leaders, and regional coalitions to increase access to postsecondary education across Texas. Under her leadership, TxCAN advanced key statewide initiatives in financial aid policy, advising capacity, and systems alignment—helping students successfully navigate the path to and through higher education. Prior to joining Educate Texas, Shareea was Chief Program Officer at the Young Women’s Preparatory Network, supporting the development of public all-girls schools across Texas. She also led the After the Bell Alliance at Dallas Afterschool, advocating for increased investment in expanded learning programs that promote equity and opportunity for youth. A California native and the proud daughter of a first-generation college graduate, Shareea earned a B.A. in Psychology and Black Studies from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. She lives in Dallas with her husband and two children, where she spends most of her free time at her son’s baseball games or carting kids to practices and activities. When she does find downtime, Shareea loves crafting and is currently leaning into cake decorating and floral arranging.
