Shamika Hogan Executive Director, GreenLight Kansas City Kansas City Shamika Hogan joined GreenLight Fund in August 2026 as Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Kansas City. Before this, she was the Founding Executive Director of i.c.stars Kansas City, where she launched the organization’s first cohort within seven months of being hired and went on to lead six cohorts through the program. Her career spans financial services, housing, and workforce development. She started at UMB Bank as a Community Reinvestment Act Officer, leading financial literacy programming across eight states. From there she moved into fundraising, serving as Director of Development at ReStart, one of Kansas City’s largest housing organizations, where she helped stabilize the organization’s finances and set new fundraising records. What draws Shamika to this work is closing the gap between talent and opportunity, and she’s excited to bring proven, evidence-based solutions directly to the Kansas City community she calls home. She holds a Bachelor’s in Public Administration from Washburn University and a Master’s in Management and Fundraising from Avila University, and has been recognized as an Ingram’s 40 Under 40 honoree and a graduate of the Kansas City Chamber’s Centurions Leadership Program. Shamika is a Kansas City native, a proud wife and mother of three beautiful boys, and a member of Jack and Jill of America.
