National

Saoirse (Seer-sha) joined GreenLight Fund in October of 2025 as a Coordinator in the Office of the CEO. She was drawn to GreenLight because of her inherent belief in the power of grassroots organizing. She has seen firsthand how vital community voices are in guiding social justice work and feels that GreenLight’s model reflects this value perfectly.

Prior to joining GreenLight, Saoirse worked as the lead reproductive and sexual health intern at UC Santa Cruz’s Health Center, guiding a team in providing comprehensive education to the UCSC student body. She strived to make reproductive education accessible and shame-free, while providing accurate information and a breadth of resources. While at UCSC, she also volunteered at Soledad State Prison, working with groups of 60 or more incarcerated men in sessions centered around restorative justice and trauma. Additionally, she worked as a research intern studying the housing crisis in Santa Cruz, as an intern for the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, and most recently as an assistant to the CEO of a Public Relations Agency. Through a variety of work experience, Saoirse has developed a passion for accessibility, equity, relationship building, and centering people through meaningful communication.

Saoirse graduated from The University of California, Santa Cruz in June of 2024. She double majored in Sociology and Politics, with a concentration in American Politics.

In her free time, Saoirse enjoys spending time with friends, thrift shopping, and visiting her family in both Massachusetts and Ireland.
