Rebecca Gorrell brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, advocacy, fund development, and community engagement to the role of Founding Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Denver. Rebecca is a dynamic facilitator, strategic thinker, and has spent her career working to bring people together to create meaningful, community-driven change.

Before joining GreenLight Fund, Rebecca served as Chief Program Officer with Community Resource Center (CRC), leading a statewide team to build individual, organization, and network capacity across Colorado’s diverse nonprofit sector. In this role, she strengthened CRC’s long standing programs using an equity and systems lens and created innovative, sustainable offerings in rural and urban communities across the state.

Rebecca previously served as Executive Director of the Colorado Participation Project, building capacity within human service organizations to authentically engage their communities in elections, civic engagement, and policy change. Rebecca held previous roles with Seniors’ Resource Center and Regis University.

Rebecca and her team were recognized with the 2021 Outstanding Service Program award from America’s Service Commission and she was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a Who’s Who in Impact Investing. Most recently Rebecca served as a member of the Nonprofit Infrastructure Coalition, co-led by Independent Sector and KABOOM!.

Born and raised in the Denver and Metro area, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Regis University.
