Nick joined the GreenLight Fund in July 2022 as the Director of Learning on the National Portfolio Team. He brings a passion for serving mission-focused organizations that want to use evidence and learning to do better in achieving equity and justice.

He comes to GreenLight from the Colorado Health Foundation (CHF), where he worked as a Senior Learning and Evaluation Officer. In this role, he supported CHF’s focus areas in the design and refinement of strategies concentrated on achieving health equity and racial justice. He created and implemented comprehensive learning and evaluation plans to both inform future strategy and assess existing work in affordable housing, behavioral health, access to primary care, and nonprofit capacity building. He also supported CHF’s internal capacity building around evidence and learning, equitable evaluation, and community engagement.

Previously, he worked as a Research Associate for Wilder Research located in St. Paul, Minnesota. He designed and implemented program evaluations and research projects for philanthropic, nonprofit, and public sector clients seeking to advance health equity through policy, systems, and environmental changes.

Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Beloit College and a master’s degree in public policy from the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He and his partner, Emily, have two children, Theodore and Louisa, and an ultra furry German Shepard Husky, Otto. They reside in Denver and enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, and biking in Colorado’s natural beauty.
