But as a single mother, pursuing a career in tech while building a more stable future for her family came with significant challenges. Through Per Scholas Greater Boston, Jessica enrolled in the IT Support program and quickly became a top performer in her cohort. She was also the first person in her class to earn the CompTIA A+ certification, an important milestone on her path into the technology field. After graduating, Jessica accepted a tech support role as a Voice Activations Representative at Granite Telecommunications. The new position more than quadrupled her pre-training wage, helping her turn a longtime interest in technology into a career with greater financial stability and opportunity.
