Viva Price

Executive Director, GreenLight Nashville

National

Viva Price joined the GreenLight team in August 2026 as the Founding Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Nashville. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Youth Encouragement Services (YES) in South Nashville, where she spent nearly a decade strengthening safety nets and leading youth programming in historically underinvested neighborhoods.

With over 25 years of experience across social services, public health, government, and executive leadership, Viva has dedicated her career to advancing equity and driving systems-level change from Boston to Atlanta and Middle Tennessee. Her background includes directing child injury prevention, adolescent health, and youth development initiatives, as well as leading community organizing around child abuse prevention in Metro Atlanta.

Grounded in values passed down by her mother—a public health nurse and daughter of an Alabama sharecropper—Viva brings a deeply personal commitment to social justice. She is thrilled to lead GreenLight’s expansion in Nashville, combining her front-line experience and passion for community-led progress to match Middle Tennessee’s most pressing needs with proven, scalable, evidence-based organizations.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with degrees in psychology and sociology, Viva serves on boards for the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, the Nashville Early Education Coalition, The Gate School, and the Sisterhood Leadership Academy. She enjoys exploring her Inglewood neighborhood with her two children and is most excited about helping helping shape a Nashville where every child and family has a genuine path to prosperity.
