These are not luxuries. They are the foundations of dignity, health, and quality of life. Yet too often, residents are forced into impossible trade-offs that compromise one basic need for the other. In response to this call to action, GreenLight Fund Greater Newark is proud to announce a $1.2M investment in two innovative models to address these interconnected challenges, Food Connect and Housing Connector. Through this investment, we are bringing two nationally recognized, tech-enabled models to our city. Together, these efforts will ensure Newark families don’t have to sacrifice one basic need for another, they can have both.
