Nina joined GreenLight Fund Detroit in early 2018 with a strong commitment to purpose-driven philanthropy and is passionate about discovering methods to catalyze positive generational change for families. Most recently, she worked for DAPCEP (Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program) in a development role to advance its mission of increasing minority representation in STEM fields. Nina also supported daily operations at Excellent Schools Detroit in order to improve educational outcomes for Detroit’s children. Previously at the United States Census Bureau she organized data and led a local team of field representatives to increase participation in and understanding of Census Bureau processes. Nina is a University of Michigan graduate holding a bachelor’s degree in English. She lives in Northwest Detroit and is the proud mother of two boys.
