Megan joined GreenLight Fund in August, 2019. Originally from Prentiss, Mississippi, Megan received her bachelor of social work degree in 2018 at The University of Mississippi. During her time at the university, Megan interned in a development capacity at Memory Makers, a respite day care service. She also served as the Director of Community Engagement for the Black Student Union.
After graduating Megan moved to Chicago, where she received her Master of Arts with a concentration in Social Administration, from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. During her time in graduate school, Megan interned as a Development and Communication intern at Horizons for Youth and worked as a Project Manager at the Community Programs Accelerator.
Megan is driven by her passion to be an authentic contributor to the advancement of the Black community. She strives to be effective and empowering in aiding the complex problems related to her community both locally and nationally.
