Emma joined GreenLight Cincinnati in August 2017, bringing her passion and commitment to social justice, and her excitement for her new home of Cincinnati! Emma grew up in Detroit, MI and Nashville, TN, but found her home in Cincinnati after working on a local State Representative race in 2014. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Politics and Government in 2016, she continued to be an active member of the university by serving on the Board of Trustees. Prior to joining GreenLight, she completed a year-long service fellowship in Chicago, serving as a Community Organizer at the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. There, she has played an active role in developing and executing strategy for JCUA’s involvement in the campaign to pass and implement the Illinois Domestic Worker Bill of Rights and the Illinois TRUST Act.
To harness the passion, energy, skills, and love of
community members to slowly but surely work toward a more just and equitable world.
